In San Diego, coffee shops cluster around downtown offices, college campuses and the main commercial streets of residential neighborhoods, and the independents usually close by mid-afternoon while chains stay open into the evening. Across California, drive-thru coffee stands and kiosks fill the gap in suburbs and along highways, and roasters often sell bags and brewing gear at the counter. Check the listing for hours, whether the cafe takes mobile orders, and its Google rating and recent reviews; parking is easiest at suburban locations, while downtown shops rely on street meters or nearby garages. San Diego is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around San Diego is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I'm so happy I found this coffee shop! It's a lovely hidden treasure with a spotless, bright, and cozy interior. It was a cozy spot to relax because every table and nook was spotless. The pastries were delicious, buttery, and fresh, and the latte was flavorful and smooth. The visit was enhanced by welcoming service and a tranquil setting. I am eagerly anticipating my next destination.

I had a few doctor’s appointments in this neighborhood over the course of a week, so I found myself coming to this shopping center quite often. That’s how I discovered Acento CafΓ©, and I’m really glad I did. Since it’s located in a shopping plaza, there’s plenty of parking, which made stopping by super convenient. The cafΓ© has a cozy, family-owned feel, and the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. There are a few tables inside, so I was able to get some work done while enjoying my coffee. I ordered a latte, and it was absolutely delicious. I’m really happy I found this little neighborhood gem, and I’ll definitely be back whenever I’m in the area again.

Spent a week in SD & LA - this was 1 of 2 favorite coffees I had + the NICEST blue-haired barista gave me great neighborhood reccs for if I end up moving there (failed to get their name; boo). Seattle native speaking & omg, this coffee was STRONG earthy & RICH in the best dang way. The fact they're next to one of the only super special Barnes & Noble stores in the country? MAGIC

Here from Arizona just for the weekend, and I’ve been twice! The honey+cinnamon latte was absolutely delicious! They weigh and grind the beans right in front of you, it’s truly an experience walking into this place. I bought some beans to take home, can’t wait to try!

Great espresso! They let you pick from 8 or so different roasts for your drink. I got the Ethiopia as espresso which came with sparkling water. I was very impressed with the stirring spoon being an Umeshiso spoon. My wife and I bought a couple bags of coffee beans for $18 each that I’m excited to try at home. Seating space is limited so don’t plan to work there, nor did I see an obvious choice for Wi-Fi.
